The 11th Annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit: Art at a (Social) Distance is on view through November 29 at Pingree School. This exhibit takes place across Pingree Schools' 100-acre campus every fall, and this year is no exception, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19. As the exhibit's subtitle implies, the 50 sculptures that make up the exhibit are spread throughout the campus, at least ten feet apart from one another to ensure visitor safety. Instead of the usual printed guide to the exhibition, viewers can download the free app "Findful" and get Pingree School's exhibit guide and map. The 11th Annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit highlights the work of over 30 local sculptors, some returning from previous years and others showing in this exhibit for the first time. Each artist has a different approach to their work, and the sculptures in the exhibit encompass a wide array of media, techniques and artistic visions. Dr. Timothy M. Johnson, Head of Pingree School, wrote in his address for the exhibit guide, "Perhaps now more than ever, art can be fuel for inspiration and hope." Viewers walking through The 11th Annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit will find a day of fun and fresh air as well as a day of restorative peace and tranquility. Pingree School is located at 537 Highland Street in South Hamilton, Massachusetts and The 11th Annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit is open every weekend during daylight hours. Cape Cod Museum of Art (CCMOA) has three exhibits on view this season. Song and Dance: Expressions from Life is a solo exhibit featuring the work of Bill Evaul through November 30. This year, Evaul was the recipient of the CCMOA Muse Artist Award for his contributions to the Cape Cod arts community as an artist, educator, historian and curator. Song and Dance highlights paintings, prints and drawings from across 40 years of Evaul's prolific artistic career. He often sketches from life, drawing inspiration from the performance of musicians and dancers. This gives his artwork a life and energy of its own, conveying meaning through movement. Modern Mix is a collaborative exhibit between CCMOA and Cahoon Museum of Art on view through December 6. Sponsored by an anonymous trustee, this exhibit of paintings and sculpture honors the collectors and community supporters who founded the two museums to preserve and present American art. Modern Mix contains the colorful, bold work of over 40 artists from across the country, making for a rich viewing experience. Falmouth Art Center Juried Members' Exhibition is on view through January 17, 2021 both in person and online. Benton Jones, Director of Art at CCMOA, is the juror of this multimedia exhibit. CCMOA invited Falmouth Art Center to hold a Juried Members' Exhibition in the spirit of supporting art institutions from across Cape Cod. The exhibit features a selection of Falmouth Art Center's over 700 artists, showing some of the best the center has to offer. All three of CCMOA's current exhibitions feature highly skilled artists with unique perspectives, each of them offering beautiful works of art. CCMOA is located at 60 Hope Lane in Dennis, Massachusetts at Thursday—Saturday 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00—4:00 p.m. For more information, visit ccmoa.org/current-exhibition.

Montserrat College of Art is showing Ngoc-Tran Vu: Made Elsewhere and Beatrice Modisett: Every Flower Touched at Frame 301 Gallery through December 13. Ngoc-Tran Vu: Made Elsewhere is a solo exhibit dedicated to the work of Ngoc-Tran Vu, a Vietnamese-American artist who works in photography, painting and sculpture. Her work draws upon her heritage as a refugee as well as her experiences as a community organizer, educator and healer. She explores themes of family, memory and rituals, and how these ideas interact with social justice and intersectionality. The centerpiece of her Made Elsewhere project, which explores migration and displacement, is a Statue of Liberty made of non-American recycled and found materials. Beatrice Modisett: Every Flower Touched features the work of Montserrat alumna Beatrice Modisett, who's exhibited throughout New England and participated in residency programs across the world since receiving her BFA in Painting from Montserrat and her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016. She utilizes physical processes like working with charcoal to explore geology and erosion, along with the systems that humans create to navigate, control and contain the landscape around them. Both exhibits offer the viewer a unique perspective through which they can see the world with artwork that makes them think. Montserrat College of Art's Frame 301 Gallery is located at 301 Cabot Street in Beverly, Massachusetts and is currently open 24/7 as a street-view gallery.
