Information Summary for Worship Center Ballot

Phase 1 of the Hope South Campus Building Project consists of the construction of the Worship Center and the site development work associated with the construction of the Worship Center.
The Worship Center, consisting of approximately 18,372 square feet with a seating capacity of approximately 458 seats in the worship/fellowship area, will have the look and feel of a church/sanctuary structure in appearance with the flexibility to use the Worship Center for functions of worship and fellowship.
The estimated cost for Phase 1, the Worship Center and associated Site Development Work of $7,850,000 which includes:

Proposed loan from Mission Investment Fund (MIF) for which congregation approval is requested (approval based on the resolution required by MIF included in the attached sample ballot): Construction Mortgage secured by a mortgage lien on the real property of Hope Lutheran Church. The loan will be in the anticipated amount of $4,700,000, but not to exceed $4,900,000 and will be until the end of the construction period at a rate of 6.375% to be converted to a permanent mortgage loan at that time.
Please be aware that a quorum of eligible voters will be required for Hope Lutheran Church to move forward with the construction of the Worship Center. The vote will occur during the Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 12:00pm at Hope Central Campus.

Hope South Campus Building Project - Worship Center Phase 1 of the Hope South Campus Building Project:
- Approve constructing the Worship Center Phase 1 and associated site development, with a projected cost of $7,850,000, not to exceed $8,00,000, and approve the anticipated $4,700,000 construction loan, not to exceed $4,900,000, as specified in the following resolution.

2. Authorize the Church Council and its officers to take such actions and to sign such documents as are necessary to carry out the purposes and intent of this Congregation Resolution.
3. Rescind the approval of constructing the Activity Center Phase of the Hope South Campus Building Project given at the Special Congregation Meeting on October 7, 2022.
