Grant opportunity: BCBSMA Foundation

Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts Foundation Announcement: The OB3 Impacts Defense Fund – Mitigating Coverage Loss will support up to 9 grants in the amount of up to $60,000 a year for two years in counties across the state. New federal requirements resulting from the July 2025 passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (known as “OB3”) make fundamental changes to Medicaid eligibility – meaning 141,000 to 203,000 MassHealth members could lose coverage. Under these changes, certain adult Medicaid members must comply with new and complex work reporting requirements and these policies represent some of the most significant changes to MassHealth in a decade. The OB3 Impacts Defense Fund was created to mitigate coverage losses with a focus on MassHealth as part of the Foundation’s Coverage and Care focus area.
