RESOURCE
Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey

They build a brighter future for children by promoting Great Childhoods, positive parenting and healthy child development.

They educate parents, provide training and technical assistance to youth/family serving organizations and schools, and keep community members informed. They help transform homes and schools into nurturing, trauma-informed environments.

PCA-NJ is the New Jersey State Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, a network of chapters in all 50 states.

Their nonprofit subsidiary, the Child Wellness Institute (ChildWIN), builds resilience and social-emotional health within children and families.

Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign

In April, we observe Child Abuse Prevention Month and launch the “Pinwheels for Prevention” campaign. The pinwheel in the logo was chosen as a national symbol of prevention because it is fun and joyful and evokes childlike notions, exemplifying the “Great Childhoods” we desire for all children. Everyone is welcome to “plant” a pinwheel garden.

Everyone is welcome to join PCA-NJ at their 2022 Big Pinwheel Garden, sponsored by Investors Foundation, at Huisman Gazebo in Belmar, NJ on April 8 at 11 am. Questions:
