Dear Tru Customers,

We are transitioning our production scheduling, order acknowledgment, and ASN systems to a truck-based system. This means that we will be placing a priority on building out full trucks to combat the rising costs of freight and limited availability of drivers. This will also give us more flexibility in the production schedule due to the long lead times we are working under and enable better execution of the delivery schedule.

The most immediate change you will notice is that we are providing an anticipated ship week on our acknowledgments. This is a longer lead time than we have been working with to allow for flexibility in our production schedule. We anticipate that in most cases, this will be a “no later than” date and that
we will ship earlier than that week.

The second change you will see is that our ASN’s (Advanced Shipping Notice) will be e-mailed two weeks in advance of your ship week. This will allow you considerably more time to plan your installations than you have in today’s environment. This is enabled by the fact that we will be constructing the production schedule based on trucks and sending the ASN’s when we start production.

Finally, to provide clarity on the status of your open orders, we are sending you a spreadsheet of your orders with the planned ship week. These ship weeks are beyond your originally acknowledged ship week due to falling behind on our production schedule. We have rescheduled all open orders to a new
production day as a result and are providing you with a new anticipated ship week. We will send an ASN to confirm the ship week when we start your order in production. Please note that Rush and Warranty order ship weeks have not changed and will not be listed in your open order report.

We also want to acknowledge that you are still experiencing higher than normal levels of backorders. While the plant has made great strides to finish and ship backorders in a timely fashion, we are still experiencing high initial backorders. Let me assure you that it is our #1 priority to resolve this situation
and return to our normal levels of service. Many projects have been initiated and implemented to improve this performance, but we recognize that results matter more than words, so we will let our performance do the talking.
