Information for Lafayette Businesses during COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place Order
Greetings from the Lafayette Chamber!
On behalf of our staff and the Board of Directors, we hope this message finds you, your family and your staff well and safe.
As you know, we have tried to keep you up to date in regard to the latest information from our government agencies and bring you the best information available at the time. Some of the original information that had been released has now been changed or is now better defined.
Please find the links below for new and updated information including resources created under the CARES Act (Phase III bill). This includes an update to the guide we released several days ago on the Paycheck Protection Program.
Additionally, the U.S. Department of Treasury issued further guidance yesterday regarding the Paycheck Protection Program. These updates were provided by the U.S. Chamber yesterday. Links to the resources provided by Treasury can be found on their webpage.
A top-line overview of the program can be found here.
If you’re a lender, more information can be found here.
If you’re a borrower, more information can be found here.
There are two important documents you must have while doing business during the Shelter-In-Place period of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The first is a template for the SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOL that every “essential” business must have in place by Friday, April 3, 2020. You must complete, post and implement a social distancing protocol for each facility that remains open, using this template.
You must post the attached PDF as of April 1, 2020: The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act).
