Dear Parents,
This week we are covering a few more things that you need to know and set-up before school begins. As always, if you need additional details or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Accounts You Need to Succeed
By now all new students should have been able to log into their school-issued Gmail account. (If not, please refer to last week's email on July 28th for instructions.) Students should use this email address to set up and log into other school related accounts like FACTS, Schoology and MBS Direct Textbooks.
Here are the instructions for setting up each of those accounts. There is also more detailed information regarding how to order textbooks here.
Parking
Students who plan to drive to school will need to register for a parking spot. All applications must be accompanied by an agreement, signed by a parent, and the payment of $30. Parking spots are limited and we do ask for families to consider consolidating when one family has multiple student drivers in the same household. Both the registration form and the agreement for parent's to sign can be found here. We are working on having an on-line payment option added to the registration form, and it should be available later this week.
Performing Arts
Is your child interested in being a part of the CN Drama Club? If so, there will be an Interest Meeting on Tuesday, August 24 after school in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). The Drama Interest Meeting is for any CN student grade 7-12 who is interested in performing or being a part of the backstage crew. If you have any questions you can contact our Director, Mrs. Nell Bramhall. We are all very excited about another wonderful year ahead in the performing arts at Cardinal Newman!
