Little Sis Pairing Survey

Please complete by August 12

We are excited to pair the members of the class of 2030 with their junior big sisters! In order to do this we need your daughter's assistance in completing this survey by August 12. We will review the survey results for the class of 2030 and the class of 2028 within each House and do our very best to match the students.

Please tell your daughter to be as honest as possible when completing the survey. The more information she shares the better. There will be a pairing reveal in September during Freshman induction week.

Summer Resources

SUMMER READING

Each student must select two books over the summer - one with her class, and one from a list designed to highlight particular areas to be covered in the class. The student will be held accountable for her reading in the form of a written essay or project on the text chosen from the list.

SUMMER MATH PACKET

For all returning Students:

Math Packets will be posted and made available in your Google Classroom on July 1.

For all incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students:

More information to come this month regarding summer math packets. Parents should be on the lookout for an email with instructions.

Learning Consultants Corner

The Counseling Office and our Learning Consultants have compiled some resources as you work through your summer reading. Click through the links below for some additional resources on reading comprehension, annotating and color-coding your notes.

Cell-Phone Policy & Lockers

Cell-Phone Policy & Technology Reminders

All students at Ursuline Academy follow a zero-visible cell-phone policy during school hours. While students may have their phones on their persons, phones may not be out or in use at any time, including lunch and activity period. This policy also includes the use of wireless ear buds and smartwatches. There will be designated areas in the school for students to use their cell phones when needing to contact a parent during the school day. Exceptions will be made for students who need their phones to monitor their insulin pump or another health-related device. The full cell-phone policy is in the student handbook.

This is a reminder that students may not use tablets as their primary device. Most teachers prohibit the usage of tablets in their classroom, so students should come to school with the appropriate device as outlined in the technology agreement. In addition, using hotspots or phone mirroring technology is against our technology policy. Failure to abide by the policy may result in loss of technology privileges during school hours and/or other consequences determined by the assistant principal.

Lockers & Locks

Lockers are the property of Ursuline Academy, and the Academy, as co-tenants, reserves the right to conduct locker searches at any time. Students are responsible for providing their own locks for their school-issued locker. Locks may be a combination lock or a key lock. If a student forgets the combination or loses a key, the Academy will open the lock using bolt cutters. The Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items, including locks opened by force. All lockers must remain locked. The student is presumed responsible for any damage to her locker and will be charged accordingly. Freshmen should have their locks and bring them to Viaggio days (Freshman Orientation).

Textbooks / General School Supply Lists

Textbooks: The 2026-2027 Textbook List was sent out by email with class schedules on Thursday, June 18. Highlighted items must be purchased for the listed class prior to the start of the school year. Most are available through online booksellers such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Many can be purchased as used items or rented. Please make sure to match the ISBN number on the booklist with the book itself to ensure that you have the proper title.

General Supplies: We do not provide a specific supply list since high school students choose to organize themselves for school in a variety of ways; however, below is a list of items that will be helpful for most students.

  • Binders/Notebooks/Folders
  • Loose Leaf Paper
  • Graph Paper for Science and Math
  • Pens/Pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Dry Erase Markers/Erasers
  • Rulers
  • Note Cards
  • Wired headphones or ear buds
  • Graphing Calculator* -- TI 84 Plus CE is the required calculator. We encourage your daughter to bring it in unopened so that we can ensure that you have purchased the correct calculator. A calculator handed down from an older sibling in the TI 84 Plus family is acceptable.

Uniform Reminders

Students should check the length of their skirts over the summer so that they are no more than 4" above the knee all around, and that stitching is intact before the start of the school year. Students should be able to wear their skirt with their shirt tucked in comfortably without any rolling. Students who do not have the appropriate length skirt will receive a demerit.

Uniform Details

Students can purchase the following school uniform items from the Bear Den:

  • uniform polos
  • dress uniform oxfords
  • white Ursuline socks (part of dress uniform)

The Uniform blazer and skirt must be purchased from Just Me Apparel, (636) 391-3551.

Yearbook / Picture Day

Make-up pictures are scheduled for October 20.

Fall Sports Tryouts Information

Fall sports tryouts are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 10. Students interested in trying out for a fall sport should visit the Athletics page on the Ursuline Academy website for the most up-to-date tryout schedules and information.

Important Reminders:

  • Physicals: All students must have a current physical uploaded to Final Forms prior to participating in tryouts. While MSHSAA requires a physical every two years, Ursuline Academy requires a new physical each school year.

  • Sport Selection in Final Forms: Please select the sport(s) your daughter intends to try out for in FinalForms. This ensures she is included on the appropriate roster and receives important communications.

  • SportsYou Access: Parents should join the SportsYou parent group for the sport(s) their daughter plans to participate in. Coaches use SportsYou to communicate schedules, updates, and other important information throughout the season.

If you need help accessing or logging into SportsYou, or if you have any questions or concerns about our athletic programs, please feel free to contact the Athletic Director, jbrooks@ursulinestl.org.
