MTA Mask Fine in Effect
Govenor Cuomo issued an Executive Order directing the MTA to develop a plan to bolster mask compliance across public transportation system's subways, buses and railroads. In response, the MTA announced riders who refuse to wear a mask on public transit will be subject to a $50 fine. This new measure went into effect Monday, September 14. Click here to learn more.
Complete the 2020 Census by Wednesday, September 30
According to the New York Post, two-out-of-three households who live in Lincoln Square have completed the 2020 Census, compared to 76% in 2010. This reduction in completed Censuses in Lincoln Square alone could cost New York City $59 million in federal funds. Click here to complete the Census.

Return to Office Survey
To understand post-COVID return to office patterns, NYCEDC has developed a two-minute survey for businesses to fill out to share employee volume pre-COVID that was in the office, working remotely, or a mix and those same data points for the last week. Data will be aggregated and anonymized when reported. No information on individual companies will be released. Fill out the survey here.
SNAP Phishing Scam Alert
Many people have been receiving texts that say that you were chosen to receive food stamps or SNAP. If you do not know if a request for information about SNAP is real or not, contact your local SNAP office. Never share personal information with individuals or organizations that you do not know. If you think the text is a scam, do not reply at all. Just delete. Click here for more scam alerts. 
Governor Cuomo Issues Executive Order 202.61
Governor Cuomo issued a new Executive Order, No. 202.61: Continuing Temporary Suspension and Modification of Laws Relating to the Disaster Emergency. The provisions of this order are in effect until Friday, October 9, 2020. Find out more information here.
