TRAVIS SHILLING // Ontario

Nestled in the heart of Toronto’s dynamic art scene, Ingram Gallery is more than a destination—it’s an experience. Our space is a haven for discovery, where bold new voices and established artists converge to challenge, delight, and inspire. Visiting us is an invitation to engage with art in an intimate, thought-provoking setting. Wander through our current installation, where each piece tells a story, and let the energy of creativity ignite your imagination.

JANE EVERETT // British Columbia

Smoke Ring Day I - oil on canvas, 60 x 48 inches

At Ingram Gallery, we believe art isn’t confined to canvases or gallery walls—it’s woven into the fabric of the world around us. The “everywhere is art” concept invites us to find beauty and meaning in the unexpected: the play of light on a city street, the texture of a weathered sign, or the rhythm of a passing conversation. This philosophy, championed by the artists we work with and community we share, encourages a way of seeing that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. This summer, we’re embracing this idea with renewed energy.

SLOAN OLIVER-MITCHELL: Vivid Narratives

SLOAN OLIVER-MITCHELL // Ontario

Ranunculus Heart - oil on canvas, 16 x 12 inches

Sloan Oliver-Mitchell’s paintings capture the soul of her subjects with striking realism and emotional intuition. Having studied drawing with Michael John Angel and life painting with Jeremy Lipking, she blends classical techniques with a modern sensitivity to individuality.

A distinguished portrait artist, Oliver-Mitchell has painted hundreds of subjects including CEOs, families, actress Sandra Oh, writer Thomas King, musician Hayden Desser, and University of Saskatchewan Chancellor Grit McCreath, earning accolades such as the Portrait Society of America’s Award of Excellence and a Kingston Prize finalist position. Her portrait of actor Enrico Colantoni is permanently housed in the Portrait Gallery of Canada.

Through keen observation and live sittings, her canvases reveal not just faces but stories and presence. A former OCAD University instructor and Toronto Star Laurel recipient, Oliver-Mitchell’s work illuminates the human experience with masterful craft and heart.

BEAVER SHEPPARD: Raw and Unfiltered

BEAVER SHEPPARD // Québec

Alberta Vs. Tom Cruise - acrylic & spray paint on canvas, 50 x 36 inches

Beaver Sheppard’s creations are both primal and poetic. His latest paintings challenge conventional notions of beauty, inviting viewers to confront the tension between chaos and order. Sheppard’s artistic philosophy centers on instinct and the unique imperfections of human expression. Rejecting calculated precision, he values spontaneity and authenticity, aiming to preserve the unpredictable human touch in an era of automation. This drive reflects his Newfoundland roots and fuels an active legacy of art, music, and food within Montreal’s cultural scene.

I’m just trying to make things that computers won’t be able to do.

BEAVER SHEPPARD // Québec

Nice Pants - acrylic & spray paint on canvas, 50 x 36 inches

“When Jonathan Sheppard was 12, he went to a church camp in his native Newfoundland, where he was asked to come up with a symbol that represents Canada. In three hours, Sheppard "twisted together a bunch of coat hangers" into the shape of the country's national animal, slapped on some papier-mâché and covered it in paint. The nickname Beaver was born. It endures more than a quarter-century later.”

LUKE PESTL: Ceramics That Speak

LUKE PESTL // Ontario & Nova Scotia

Moon Phases - glazed stoneware, H: 16.5 x W: 18 inches

Ceramicist Luke Pestl is redefining the medium with his innovative forms and tactile surfaces. His new collection, inspired by the organic rhythms of the natural world, features vessels and sculptural pieces that blur the line between function and art. Pestl’s meticulous glazing techniques create surfaces that shift with the light, offering a meditative experience for the viewer. These works are a highlight of our summer exhibition, showcasing the power of ceramics to tell stories of earth and time.
