Estimada Comunidad Bolívar: Estábamos esperando una reunión convocada por la Secretaría de Educación Municipal, con representantes de las diferentes agremiaciones de colegios de la ciudad, que se dio ayer en la tarde, para enviarles a ustedes información actualizada y puntual a partir de las decisiones gubernamentales. Las autoridades locales han decidido, El Nido, Preprimaria y Primaria: revocar la restricción de volver al Modelo de Aprendizaje en Alternancia y por ende retomamos el modelo híbrido con jornadas presenciales a partir de este lunes, 1 de febrero. Middle School y High School: mantener la restricción de volver al Modelo de Aprendizaje en Alternancia hasta el lunes, 8 de febrero. Por lo tanto, continuaremos con nuestro modelo a distancia hasta el viernes, 5 de febrero.  Queremos enfatizar, nuevamente, que las decisiones que tomamos como institución, con suma responsabilidad, buscan siempre el proteger el bienestar de nuestra Comunidad Educativa. Somos conscientes de que los decretos emitidos con motivo de la pandemia se han prestado para diferentes interpretaciones, pero nuestra lectura de ellos ha buscado respetar la norma y tomar medidas proactivas y conservadoras que garanticen la salud de todos. El hecho de que, por ejemplo, la situación que anticipamos al regresar de vacaciones de diciembre haya coincidido con lo que finalmente decretó la Alcaldía no permitiendo el inicio de la alternancia el 12 de enero, nos muestra que esa línea que hemos seguido es adecuada. Ésta sigue siendo nuestra política, máxime ahora que estamos en alerta roja con los índices de contagio y ocupación de las UCIs en nuestra ciudad, que son de conocimiento público. Lo que sus hijos han logrado durante el primer semestre, con la guía y dedicación de los profesores así como el apoyo de ustedes, nos permite decir que los niveles de progreso son los esperados para este momento del año lectivo. Tenemos muy claro que la situación ideal es la presencialidad total y que debemos movernos gradualmente hacia ella sin tomar riesgos considerables. Tenemos indicadores de que nuestros estudiantes están aprendiendo y es por ello que queremos mantener un balance entre atender sus necesidades socioemocionales y conservar unos procesos pedagógicos que están siendo efectivos.  Por otra parte, como lo manifestamos en una comunicación anterior, la información que recogimos durante el mes y medio de implementación del Modelo de Aprendizaje en Alternancia el semestre pasado nos permitió establecer que no hubo consistencia entre la escogencia del modelo que hicieron las familias y los niveles de asistencia registrados. Esta fue una situación muy desafortunada ya que hubo una subutilización de espacios y recursos que pensamos iba a cambiar, semana a semana. Es por esto que, a partir de este nuevo compromiso que adquirieron ustedes con la escogencia del Modelo de Aprendizaje hecha recientemente, seremos mucho más estrictos con este tema y por ende cada sección académica les comunicará las reglas y consecuencias que manejaremos a este respecto.  Con base en todo lo anterior, y tras una evaluación del impacto de la implementación de nuestro Modelo en Alternancia, hemos decidido incrementar la asistencia presencial de nuestros estudiantes al Colegio a dos días por semana en Primaria y Secundaria, dando prelación a los niños de Preprimaria (El Nido, Kínder 4, Kínder 5 y Primero) quienes, teniendo en cuenta su momento de desarrollo, estarán en nuestro campus tres veces por semana. Este cambio tiene unas implicaciones logísticas, pero sobre todo pedagógicas, significativas por lo cual empezaremos su implementación el lunes, 8 de febrero en Preprimaria y Primaria. El día en el que vendrán los niños de Preprimaria y Primaria durante la semana del 1 de febrero, aprovecharemos para preparar a nuestros estudiantes de manera que la nueva estructura y los ajustes que tendrán que hacer a sus rutinas sean comprendidos y practicados. Para los estudiantes de Middle School y High School se les enviará la información relevante la próxima semana. Confiamos en que esta nueva etapa seguirá fortaleciendo los procesos escolares de sus hijos y que, paulatinamente, retomaremos los niveles de presencialidad que todos queremos tener evitando, a toda costa, cualquier contagio en el Colegio. Aspectos Importantes Jornada Presencial

La responsabilidad colectiva de la Comunidad es de vital importancia para cumplir con los protocolos de Bioseguridad en el Colegio, en nuestro entorno familiar y social. Les recomendamos que revisen detenidamente la información a continuación exigida por la Secretaría de Educación.

Requerimientos Gubernamentales De acuerdo con la Circular No. 4143.010.22.2.1020.0003 del 12 de enero de 2021, se solicita diligenciar de carácter obligatorio los formularios a continuación para cada uno de sus hijos(s). La secretaria solicita los siguientes datos:   Nit del Colegio Bolívar: 8903005394 Nombre del Director: Joseph Nagy Teléfono del Director: 4855050 Ficha de identificación del estudiante y núcleo familiar: diligenciar este documento, una única vez, ingresando al siguiente enlace. Formato signos y síntomas del núcleo familiar:  en este enlace deberá reportar diariamente las condiciones de salud en que se encuentra el núcleo familiar, previo a abordar el bus o ingresar al Colegio. Pasaporte Sanitario Digital Vigente: (requerimiento para todos los estudiantes desde El Nido a grado 12). Este documento se debe actualizar cada 14 días a través de la plataforma de la Alcaldía de Cali.

Requerimientos & Recomendaciones Institucionales

Cuestionario Condiciones de Salud: recuerden diligenciar el cuestionario de las condiciones de salud de su(s) hijo(s), en la plataforma PowerSchool antes de abordar el bus o ingresar al Colegio. Acceso al Campus: la jornada escolar inicia a las 7:30 a.m. Los estudiantes que lleguen al Colegio no podrán ingresar al campus antes de las 7:00 a.m. Servicio de Transporte: la Oficina de Transporte a través del correo electrónico cbmatriculas les enviará los horarios de recogida de acuerdo con los recorridos de los buses por grado. Portal Plan Bioseguridad: pueden acceder en este portal a la campaña Suma por la Vida y sus fundamentos para la prevención de la propagación del COVID-19. Prácticas de Prevención: en esta sección del Portal encontrarán los videos de los protocolos y prácticas de bioseguridad y las recomendaciones para la prevención en salud. Ratificamos la importancia de revisar las pautas para un Car-pooling y viaje compartido seguro. Les recomendamos que contacten a la sección académica de su(s) hijo(s) si tienen alguna inquietud.

Our purpose is to maximize learning, prioritizing health, safety and well-being of all the Bolivar Community.

Dear Bolivar Community, We were waiting for a meeting called by the Secretary of Education of Cali with representatives of the various associations of the city's schools, which took place yesterday afternoon, to send you updated and timely information based on the government’s decisions. Local authorities have decided, El Nido, Preprimary and Primary: to revoke the restriction to return to the Hybrid Learning Model, and, therefore, we will resume the hybrid model with face-to-face sessions as of this Monday, February 1. Middle and High School: to maintain the restriction to return to the Hybrid Learning Model until Monday, February 8. Therefore, we will continue with our distance learning model until Friday, February 5. We want to emphasize, once again, that the decisions we make as an institution, with the utmost concern, always seek to protect the well-being of our Educational Community. We are aware that the decrees issued due to the pandemic have lent themselves to different interpretations, but our reading of them has sought to respect the norm and take proactive and conservative measures that guarantee the health of all. For example, delaying the return to school after the December vacation coincided with what the Mayor's Office finally decreed not to allow the start of hybrid on January 12, demonstrates that our school’s decisions have been appropriate. This continues to be our policy, especially now that we are on red alert with the high rates of contagion and ICUs occupancy in our city. What your children have accomplished during the first semester, with the guidance and dedication of their teachers and your support, allows us to say that the levels of progress are as expected for this time of the school year. It is undeniable that the ideal situation is to have all students on campus face-to-face and that we must gradually move towards that ideal without taking considerable risks. We have indicators that our students are learning and that is why we want to maintain a balance between attending to their socioemotional needs and maintaining pedagogical processes that are effective. On the other hand, as we stated in a previous communication, the information that we collected during the month and a half of the Hybrid Learning Model implementation last semester allowed us to establish that there was no consistency between the choice of model made by the families and the levels of attendance registered at school. This was a very regrettable situation as there was an underutilization of spaces and resources that we expected would change each week. That is why, based on the choice of the Learning Model you made within the last week, we will be stricter with the followup to your stated commitment and the daily attendance. Each academic section will communicate the rules and consequences that we will handle in this regard. Based on all of the above, and after an evaluation of the impact of the implementation of our Hybrid Model, we have decided to increase our students' attendance at school to two days a week for Primary and Secondary school and to prioritize Preprimary children (El Nido, Kinder 4, Kinder 5, and 1st grade) who will come to school three times a week taking into consideration their developmental needs. This change has significant logistical but, above all, pedagogical implications due to which we will need to begin its implementation on Monday, February 8 for Preprimary and Primary. The day Preprimary and Primary children return to school during the week of February 1, we will take the opportunity to prepare them for the changes they will have to make to their routines for the new structure and guarantee that they are clearly understood and practiced. For Middle School and High School students the relevant information will be sent next week. We trust that this new stage will continue to strengthen our educational processes and that, gradually, we will resume the levels of attendance face-to-face that we all wish to have, avoiding, at all costs, any contagion in the school. As always, we will constantly review our practices and make the adjustments that we deem appropriate, given the circumstances and considering the multiple variables.  We look forward to your continued support which is essential to the success of our work as educators. Signs and Symptoms Family Form: in this link you must report daily the family health conditions, prior to boarding the bus or entering the school. Valid Digital Health Passport: required for all students from El Nido to 12th Grade. This document must be updated every 14 days through the Cali Mayor's Office platform

Institutional Requirements & Recommendations

Health Status Form: remember to complete the health status form in the PowerSchool platform, before boarding the bus or entering the school. Campus Access: the day for students starts at 7:30 am. Students will not be allowed to enter campus until 7:00 am. Transportation Service: the bus routes pick-up times per grade levels will be sent out in a separate email (cbmatriculas) by the Transportation Office. Biosecurity Plan Hub: at this hub you can access to the Cooperate for Life campaign and the prevention fundamentals to reduce the risk of contagion of COVID-19.  Prevention Practices: in this section of our hub you will find the biosecurity protocols and practices implemented at school and our recommendations for staying healthy. We ratify the importance of reviewing the guidelines for Car-pooling and the recommendations for safe driving.
