The 2026 Session of the South Carolina Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church opens Sunday afternoon in Greenville, SC. This is an annual meeting, a time of “holy conferencing,” when United Methodist lay and clergy members from within the conference gather for worship, prayer, fellowship, and administrative actions. Both appointed pastors at Belin Memorial and those elected to serve as Lay Members to the Annual Conference will be attending. The theme this year is “See The Possibilities, Live the Promises: What Do You See?” which focuses our attention and direction toward where Jesus is moving in the world.
As a connected body of faith through the Annual Conference, we are participating in two mission projects as the hands and feet of Christ serving our neighbors both locally and around the world.
- Nutritious meals will be packaged that help fuel communities at the Rise Against Hunger Mission Event. This is a global movement working to create a world where all people have the nourishment they need to thrive.

Notes of encouragement and love will be written and sent to our college students and young people on stationery designed by residents of Epworth Children’s Home.

THANK YOU for your generosity and outpouring of support for our May Year of Kindness Mission benefitting ALL-4-PAWS Animal Rescue. Because of your lavish response, two and one-half truckloads of supplies and food were delivered this past week to the rescue center. Our own Jeff Saxon made the deliveries to the center in between the bouts of rain (liquid sunshine). To all who made the mission so successful through financial and in-kind donations, and on behalf of the bow-wows and meows, THANK YOU!
GUATEMALA MISSIONS TEAM departs this Saturday, June 6, representing Belin Memorial to build a home, teach Vacation Bible School, attend a worship service led in Spanish, and visit two schools. They will be returning June 14. Please remember the team in your prayers as they serve in this significant way.
PRIMARY ELECTIONS for GEORGETOWN COUNTY – this Tuesday, June 9, 7 AM – 7 PM in the Family Life Center.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH and SUNDAY SCHOOL – opportunities are available to teach, assist, and share the Gospel with children. To those who bring joy and faith to our Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church: thank you! VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – “Rainforest Falls – Exploring the Nature of God” – Monday, June 22 – Thursday, June 25, 5:30 PM – 8 PM, in the Family Life Center. Registration is OPEN. BELIN MEMORIAL COMMUNITY GARDEN – built by the Boy Scouts, is in the Field of Faith. The garden is flourishing with fresh vegetables to share with the community and church, and has been made available to the chef in the Belin Creative Learning Center (BCLC). Many thanks to all who care for this ministry.
ROLLIE HANNA BREAKFAST gathers on Wednesday, June 10 at 8:30 AM in the Family Life Center for the “best $3 breakfast in town.” The program this week includes a “picture-perfect” presentation about the “Beautiful Belin Gardens.” Enjoy a virtual tour guided by Henrietta Huff. The tour, filled with beautiful photographs and images, captures details of color combinations, plant varieties, and the dedication and effort of the Belin Gardners required to create and maintain these spaces.
STARTING POINT will meet on Sunday, June 14 at 10 AM in Room 13 in the Family Life Center. This is a small, casual gathering to learn more about the Church and interact with some of the leadership, staff, and pastors.
COLONIAL KIDS CAMP is scheduled June 15 – 18, from 12 Noon – 3 PM, in the Family Life Center. Children will learn about what it was like to live in the 18th Century and celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America in a fun and unforgettable way. MURRELLS INLET BOAT PARADE T-SHIRTS will be available for purchase on Sunday, June 21 between worship services through the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. Cost is $10/shirt. FOURTH OF JULY BOAT PARADE AND FIREWORKS DISPLAY PARKING sponsored by the Belin Memorial Missions Team is a major fundraiser to benefit international missions. The Field of Faith will be open for free public parking with donations being welcomed and graciously received. The Missions Team invites volunteers to assist with parking for this event.
