Starting with Sunday morning worship, Belin Memorial’s Stewardship Team will release weekly short videos. They’ll be available before worship, later in the week on other platforms, and through a link in the following week’s Inlet View. These videos and the printed materials that church members will receive later in October could not have happened without the excellent work of Stewardship Team member LouAnn Lamb and Director of Communications Cindy Mullins, who could not have done their work without the excellent work of several photographers, who could not have done their work without the excellent work of our congregation.
Much of stewardship is the recognition that we are blessed to be in ministry together. If we didn’t have meaningful ministries that congregation members enable and support, then we wouldn’t have anything for the photographers to capture, so there would be no content for the videos or brochure. What we will celebrate together is not a dream of what one day may happen, but the good that is already happening because God and you are faithful, and the good that we know is still to come because God and you will continue to be faithful.
As you watch the videos, think about what ministries, places, and people at Belin Memorial have captured your heart. Think about what would be diminished from your life if they disappeared. Think about how others’ lives would be diminished.
We are blessed to be in this place, with these people, participating in these ministries. They, and the God who makes them possible, are why our hearts are here. They’re why we invest ourselves for the future.
It’s also why we invest ourselves today with ministries such as:
-
The United Methodist Men, which meets this Monday, September 29 at 6 PM in the Family Life Center. The guest speaker will be retired Coastal Carolina University baseball coach Gary Gilmore. During his 28 years of coaching, Coach Gilmore led the Chanticleers to a national championship and earned induction into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame. Please RSVP by contacting Gordon Myers (gordonmyers.belinummpresident@gmail.com; 843.344.4256).
