Congressman Lance honored as BIO Legislator of the Year

Washington D.C.- The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today its selection of Representative Leonard Lance (R-NJ) as a Legislator of the Year for 2015. Representative Lance will receive the award this evening in conjunction with BIO's Legislative Day Fly-In. "New Jersey is a leader in biotechnology. Representative Lance has been an invaluable partner to the biotechnology community within our state and the industry at large."

Panasonic partners with BizTech Solutions

Newark, NJ - According to Emily Bader of NJBiz, Panasonic announced it will be partnering with BizTech Solutions Inc., a work process automation solutions provider, to provide affordable scanning solutions for paper-based manual processes. "Panasonic said in a news release that by using its document scanners along with BizTech's software, customers can easily capture, index and import paper files into a number of electronic content management systems, including SharePoint and BizTech's INDICIUM Document Management System."

FASEB offers Map for NJ Federal Research Funding

Washington D.C. - The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) has calculated New Jersey Federal research funding for fiscal year 2014. They have developed an interactive map for New Jersey and its individual congressional districts.

#ICYMI Nokia set to buy Alcatel-Lucent

New Providence, NJ - Alcatel-Lucent, with approximately 2,700 employees in New Jersey, and Nokia announce their intention to combine to create an innovation leader in next generation technology and services for an IP connected world. The two companies have entered into a memorandum of understanding under which Nokia will make an offer for all of the equity securities issued by Alcatel-Lucent, through a public exchange offer in France and in the United States, on the basis of 0.55 of a new Nokia share for every Alcatel-Lucent share.
