Greetings Good People,
Each Jersey City Police District hold's monthly captains meetings to offer the public an opportunity to discuss their public safety concerns in person. The East & West District Captains are holding their Captain's Meetings tonight, see locations in the flyers above.
Additionally, tomorrow night, B.I.T.E. is hosting a Forum featuring Jersey City Board of Education Candidates. We encourage you to attend and learn how each candidate plans to offer better educational opportunities for our students while getting a handle on the budget and hopefully lowering our taxes.
As our friend and colleague, Councilman Solomon has previously shared, "your property tax bill is made up of taxes levied by three government entities: Jersey City, Jersey City Public Schools, and Hudson County. Your total 2023 property tax bill will increase by 6% this year compared to last year’s 2022 tax bill. The bulk of that increase - over 90% - is due to the Public Schools Fiscal Year 2022 budget."
(We've made the NJ Property Tax Guide available online via our website. )
Find all of this and more -- including this year's Halloween festivities -- listed on our Community Calendar and posted on our Community Forum Page at EverytingWardF.com.
To report a Quality-of-Life concern, contact the Resident Response Center (RRC) at 201-547-4900 or file an official complaint online by uploading photos via the City’s See Click Fix application or sending picture via email to rrc@jcnj.org.
As always, be great on purpose!
