Employee of the Week

Employee of the Week

Officer Wilson Henry is currently assigned to the evening watch shift as an alarm response officer (ARO). His role is to provide a safe and secure environment by proactively patrolling school grounds during the evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays and interacting with the school community to ensure the enforcement of city and state laws. While the expectation is that AROs primarily answer alarm calls, Officer Henry supersedes this expectation. During his time with APS, he has located multiple missing students, assisted Atlanta Police with burglary calls, responded to students’ homes who were suicidal, responded to bus accidents, and much more. We are proud to have such an outstanding officer on duty.

APS is comprised of thousands of employees who each contribute to the success of our great district. Each week, we will feature an APS employee and tell you a little about what they do. Let's get to know each other and celebrate our colleagues!
