RTD-PD team fulfills wish lists for A Precious Child

How quickly can you mobilize an act of generosity? One Transit Police team did it in a matter of hours, pooling hundreds of dollars of their own money to fulfill 10 kids’ wish lists submitted to A Precious Child.

RTD-PD Officer Felicia Quintana read about the agencywide donation drive for the Broomfield nonprofit in the Dec. 13 Hot Sheet, and she mentioned it to Sgt. Alicia Valerio, who began thinking about additional ways her colleagues could show generosity during the holiday season.

RTD Gives supports families in need this holiday season

RTD Gives, the agency’s winter donation drive, extended just over a month and benefited A Precious Child. When the winter parade bus arrived at the Broomfield nonprofit Dec. 19 to drop off donations, it carried enough clothing from RTD team members and customers to fill a dozen 34-gallon-sized contractor bags! Communications and Engagement extends deep appreciation to everyone who participated in RTD Gives this year.

RTD accepting TAG program applications in January

RTD is seeking applications from organizations and government agencies that serve clients with immediate transit needs for a Transit Assistance Grant (TAG) in 2025. Eligible organizations may submit applications from Jan. 3 to Jan. 31. The program will assist qualified organizations that serve clients with immediate needs by providing grants in the form of RTD fares. I was on the R Line, got off at Lincoln Station and got on the E Line that followed. After getting on the train, I realized I had forgotten my purse on the R Line. I went to Naim Ahmed-Brahim, the train operator, and asked if he could do anything. He figured out the number of the R Line train and contacted the operator.
