New DTC FlexRide combines eight former service areas | RTD is offering FlexRide service as a single service area operating on both sides of I-25 between Belleview and Sky Ridge stations. Dubbed the DTC FlexRide as of Feb. 1, the service area joins eight former service areas – Arapahoe, Belleview, Dry Creek, Meridian, Orchard, Lone Tree, South Inverness, and North Inverness – to simplify the transit experience for RTD customers and make it easier to connect to locations along the southeast corridor without being restricted by prior service boundaries. |
| Let the Games Begin: Mark Morarie, videographer and former snowboarding coach | |
Welcome to “Let the Games Begin”! To celebrate the ongoing 2026 Winter Games, meet RTD colleagues who participate in sports represented at this year’s event. To kick things off, get to know Mark Morarie, RTD’s videographer and former snowboarding competitor and coach.
When it comes to snowboarding in the Winter Olympics, there is no discipline more representative of the spirit of snowboarding than slopestyle. From nailing smooth, tweaked-out tricks on rails in the first half of the course to launching to the moon and performing gravity-defying acrobatics off massive jumps in the second half, slopestyle gives competitors a way to express themselves while performing awe-inspiring tricks through the air. However, many of these tricks require years of training and coaching to land, a lesson that videographer Mark Morarie has taught dozens of aspiring pro snowboarders during his time as a slopestyle coach for the Vail Ski and Snowboard Club, one of the most prestigious winter sports development clubs in the world.
| | Caitlin Magee, Data Analyst II, Light Rail Operations (20 years) | | | | “I am a person who is committed to lifelong learning, whether it's reading, traveling, listening, or activating my brain through learning. That is probably how I would define myself: I want to know the why of things, or how things work or how things make people feel or what people enjoy, why they enjoy it, what is it that brings joy to your life. One of the things that brings a lot of joy to my life is constant learning. What can I learn today that I didn't know yesterday? What can I explore? What can I experience? I'm very much about being present for life." | | N Line MOW recognizes accident-free milestone | | General Superintendent of Infrastructure and MOW Brady Hollaway speaks to crew members. | | On Feb. 4, the N Line Commuter Rail Maintenance Of Way team was presented with an award recognizing the team’s commitment to safety, as they had gone 410 days since the last preventable accident.
