Inside Dunwoody masthead

Dunwoody, Georgia: November 2025

November marks the start of the holiday season, and you’ll see something new this year. The City of Dunwoody is working with Discover Dunwoody and Create Dunwoody to promote Dunwoody as your Holiday Headquarters. It's a great way to build community, support our business community, and drive tourism.

Holiday HQ

Mayor Deutsch has leaned into the holidays for years and helped spark this push to go bigger. City Council discussed the idea during its retreat last year and later approved funding for banners, lighted snowflakes, and a special Holiday HQ brochure, which will arrive in mailboxes later this week. Be on the lookout for it.

The brochure is full of information about community events, holiday lights, theater, arts and crafts, shopping, sweet treats, and more. You’ll even find a way to access a holiday Spotify playlist curated by Discover Dunwoody.

HolidayHeadquarters.com

Another important resource is the Holiday HQ website. This is a one-stop shop where you can find event details, registration links, and inspiration for outings with kids, friends, and out-of-town guests. We hope you’ll bookmark the site and check back for updates and new activities added throughout the season.

Home to Perimeter Mall, Dunwoody is already a huge draw during the holidays, where you can find everything you’re looking for. We’ve also developed wonderful traditions from Holiday Lights at Brook Run Park to the Holiday Celebration and Lantern Parade in the Dunwoody Village to Light Up Dunwoody, which has a new location this year at the Donaldson-Bannister Farm. Also new this year, for the first time, you’ll be able to enjoy outdoor ice skating in Dunwoody. High Street Skate will feature an outdoor ice rink on The Green. It’s scheduled to be open from Nov. 23 to Jan. 19. This is a great addition to all that Dunwoody offers.
