NOTICE OF ELECTOR ALTERNATIVE APPROVAL PROCESS
The District of Squamish is seeking elector approval to finance a new Public Works Facility through an Alternative Approval Process (AAP). The current facility is at the end of its useful life and is no longer able to support the needs of our growing community. To minimize taxpayer impact, the District proposes to use long-term borrowing to finance the project and pay it back over 20 years so future taxpayers help cover the cost.
- Residents who support long-term borrowing do not have to vote. No action is required.
- Residents who oppose long-term borrowing are required to register opposition by completing an elector response form by the deadline of August 4, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
