Worship Service Time
9:30am - Immanuel Sanctuary

As we celebrate Memorial Day we are grateful for the people who have served our country. We honor those who stepped into harm's way, gave up time with those they love, and carried the weight of respect and duty. For their lives we give thanks.
Dear disciples of Jesus at Immanuel Lutheran,

As we blessed our high school graduates last Sunday, we sent them off to “go with God.” Each one of us goes with God throughout our journeys in life. Jesus reminds his disciples before he leaves them, that the Father and he “will come to them and make our home with them” (John 14:23). Wherever we go, we go with God, who leads and guides us by the Holy Spirit.

See you in church,
Pastor Gretchen
Bountiful God, you gather your people into your realm, and you promise us food from your tree of life. Nourish us with your word, that empowered by your Spirit we may love one another and the world you have made, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Summer Worship Schedule Reminder - THIS SUNDAY!
Beginning on Sunday, May 26, we will begin our summer worship schedule of ONE service each Sunday at 9:30am in Immanuel Sanctuary.
This will be in effect through September 1st.
Summer Schedule
Exploring Membership at Immanuel
Pastor Gretchen will be leading a five week class on Sunday mornings after worship, beginning on June 9th . If you would like to become a member or just learn more about our ministry and our denomination, please contact Pastor at: [email protected]
Prayer Chain Get Together

Join us on Thursday May 30 in the library from 9-10:30am. All prayer chain members are encouraged to attend for food, fellowship, and an exchange of ideas. Please let Holly Reynolds know if you can come: [email protected].  See you there!

Spirit-led Healing in Mental Health
Pastor Kelly Loy will be inviting conversation following worship on June 2nd about common mental health challenges. She will talk about how the medical model and traditional psychotherapy view and treat concerns like depression, anxiety, or grief. In contrast, Kelly will introduce Internal Family Systems theory (IFS) and how the Holy Spirit meets us and helps heal those same concerns from the inside out. If you or someone close to you struggles with mental health challenges, or if you simply are curious about how to add support through Immanuel’s ministries, this conversation may bring a new sense of hope!.

Eucharistic Minister Training

We are in need of people to bring Holy communion to those who are homebound or hospitalized. This ministry meets a very personal and important need. If you would like to consider being trained to serve with other Immanuel members in this ministry, please talk to Pastor Gretchen. [email protected] . Training will be held on June 13th from 1-3pm.

NEXT YEAR!! - High School Students - Save Your First Sundays
I know fall seems a long way off, and you’re really just thinking about getting through these last days of school and heading into summer break, but I want to give you a little heads-up about what we will be doing next year. We will be getting together at least once a month between services - most likely the first Sunday of the month. We will have some time to get to know one another, have some GOOD coffee, and chat/learn/study a bit and work together to figure out life a little. By Good coffee I mean I will bring in my espresso machine and whip up lattes, mochas, hot chocolate, for those of you that attend. If for some reason you’re not a coffee drinker, we will provide something you do like. Just let me know. I’m looking forward to it!
Nursery Attendant
We are still looking to hire a nursery attendant. If you or someone you know is interested in the position, please let us know. Until we find someone, we will be relying on parent (and grandparent!) volunteers to run the nursery. If you would like to volunteer, please email [email protected] as well as sign-up on the sign up sheet in the hospitality room.
For Additional information on any of these subjects contact
Children & Youth Leader, Mary Riedl: [email protected]
Summer Fix-It Projects
With the completion of our remodel, it is time to spruce up other areas of our church. Most of the projects involve painting. We will have the necessary supplies for anyone who wants to help at any time during the summer. The areas that we have identified to “fix” are:

  • Varnish Benches
  • Paint Exterior wood eaves
  • Repaint or touch up doors
  • Refinish exterior doors
  • Touch up paint on rail and font etc. in Augustana

We also can use help supplying and planting red flowers in time for Pentecost. And, with the addition of central air in the office area, we would like to remove the window air conditioners. If you are able to help with any of this, just stop by the office between 9 and 2 Monday-Thursday after June 1 st , choose a task, and we will provide you with what you need to work on or complete the task. If you can help at a different time, please contact Matt or Carolyn to coordinate!

If you have any questions, please contact Matt Christman at [email protected]  or Carolyn Korn [email protected]
Instant Church Directory
We have a new tool to keep us connected. In addition to a paper directory that will be available later this summer, Immanuel Lutheran has created an online directory using Instant Church Directory Online. Parishioners who have given the church their email address are the only ones who have access to the information along with church staff.   We have had our computer experts review the site security and are confident that your information is safe. If you want to learn more about the security of this site, please visit https://www.instantchurchdirectory.com/security/ .
Here is the instructions for the different devices.

If you would like to opt out of the directory or add your digital picture, please contact Carolyn Korn, Parish Administrator at [email protected] .
