Worship Service Times
8:30am - Augustana Chapel
10:45am - Immanuel Sanctuary
Dear disciples of Jesus at Immanuel Lutheran,

There is great comfort in hearing the voice of the Good Shepherd assure us that even when we walk through the darkest valley, he is with us. Yet sometimes we also need to hear the voice of the Shepherd challenge us to follow him into dark valleys, bringing light and hope to others. How do you listen for the voice of the shepherd speaking to you? Our Easter faith assures us that God is still speaking in life-giving ways through Word and sacrament, in prayer and community. “My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).

See you in church,
Pastor Gretchen
O God of peace, you brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, the great shepherd of the sheep. By the blood of your eternal covenant, make us complete in everything good that we may do your will, and work among us all that is well-pleasing in your sight, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

NEXT YEAR!! - High School Students - Save Your First Sundays
I know fall seems a long way off, and you’re really just thinking about getting through these last days of school and heading into summer break, but I want to give you a little heads-up about what we will be doing next year. We will be getting together at least once a month between services - most likely the first Sunday of the month. We will have some time to get to know one another, have some GOOD coffee, and chat/learn/study a bit and work together to figure out life a little. By Good coffee I mean I will bring in my espresso machine and whip up lattes, mochas, hot chocolate, for those of you that attend. If for some reason you’re not a coffee drinker, we will provide something you do like. Just let me know. I’m looking forward to it!
Nursery Attendant
We are still looking to hire a nursery attendant. If you or someone you know is interested in the position, please let us know. Until we find someone, we will be relying on parent (and grandparent!) volunteers to run the nursery. If you would like to volunteer, please email youth@ilcboise.org as well as sign-up on the sign up sheet in the hospitality room.

2019 Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod Assembly
All are welcome as visitors to attend the 2019 Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod
Assembly May 17-19th at the Riverside Hotel. The theme is “Global Mission: We Walk Together” with guests from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.
Ushers are needed for all 3 days of the Assembly!
If you would be interested in helping, please contact Nicki Tompkins at jnil1@cableone.net or phone 208-870-2819. The hours that need to be filled are Friday 11am-5:30pm; Saturday 8am-8pm; Sunday 8am-12pm.
Please consider this opportunity to see your synod in action!!
Jan Gieselman and Shane Maskalik were elected at our January annual meeting to join Pastor Gretchen as Immanuel’s voting delegates at the assembly. However because this spring’s Assembly is at The Riverside Hotel in Boise, others are also invited to participate as visitors.

This year’s theme is “Global Mission: We Walk Together” with guests from our companion synod, the Ulanga Kilombero Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Additionally, our synod is partnering with the ELCA so that our Assembly will be a Global event, featuring guests to assist in worship leadership, provide plenary addresses that explore our theme, and meaningful workshops that will deepen our connection with the global church.

Name change! One of the orders of business at this year’s Synod Assembly will be to choose what we will be called in the future. The Synod Council forwarded two names to the Assembly for consideration: Inland Northwest Synod and Intermountain Northwest Synod. Both names better represent all the congregations and ministries that are a part of us. We walk together!
