Worship Service Time
9:30am - Immanuel Sanctuary
|
|
Dear Disciples of Jesus at Immanuel Lutheran,
In our Gospel reading this Sunday, Jesus sees a woman at worship bent over by a crippling ailment. Placing his hands upon her and speaking a word, he sets her free. We too come to worship bent over by physical and emotional needs. We too are seen and set free as we gather each week on the sabbath. Nourished by God in word and sacrament, we delight in life-giving rest.
See you in church,
Pastor Gretchen

O God, mighty and immortal, you know that as fragile creatures surrounded by great dangers, we cannot by ourselves stand upright. Give us strength of mind and body, so that even when we suffer because of human sin, we may rise victorious through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
Amen.

Acoustic Alchemy Presents Antsy McClain - FRIDAY NIGHT!
|
|
August 23rd
7pm - Doors open at 6:30pm
Tickets are $25
at the door or at iTickets
Antsy McClain is one of those rare performers who can have you laughing hysterically and shedding a tear – often within the same song.
Antsy McClain creates an unforgettable night of music, theater and storytelling.
Others have called him “a national treasure” (Modesto Bee), and “a creative force whose roots lie in songwriters like John Prine, Kris Kristofferson and Guy Clark” (Houston Chronicle), and “a happier, funnier Bob Dylan.”
If there is one recurring thread in my music,” says Antsy, “It’s to live simply, unencumbered by the trappings of materialism.”

September 8th
. If you are unable to download the resource, contact the church office and a copy will be printed for you.
