This Sunday, we continue our worship series: Inside Out: Wisdom for the Mind, Body, and Soul. The series is based on the 2015 and 2024 Disney/Pixar movie Inside Out. Inside Out is about a young lady named Riley and her animated emotions. Her emotions are actually the movie’s main characters. Each week, we are exploring one of Riley’s emotions. This Sunday is focused on the emotion of fear. Due to the uncertainties of life, many of us find ourselves paralyzed by fear. Scripture says that perfect love casts out fear. That perfect love comes from the God who is love. As we worship, we pray God’s love lifts our hearts, ease our minds, strengthen our souls, and cast out our fears. Come, let us worship.

Food Bank In Need of Donations
Cross Roads has supported Desert Mission Food Bank for years in order to be able to provide our community with the basic needs they deserve. Below is a list of the donations that are acceptable. All donations should be unopened, labeled and in its original packaging. Heart-healthy foods that are low in sodium and fat are encouraged.
- Whole wheat pasta
- Whole grain cereal
- Low sodium canned veggies
- 100% juice
- Chicken and tune in water
- Low sodium canned beans
- Dry beans
- Natural peanut butter
- Bottled water
- Hygiene products
- Baby formula (orange or blue Similac for ages 12 months and younger)

Liturgist Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to participate in worship. We need volunteers to read scripture, and lead us in prayer. If you are interested sign up in the Lobby or speak with James Pelfrey.

Nursery Attendants Needed
We are looking for volunteers to serve as pre-school attendants to supply help with our toddlers during worship. Volunteers would help Rev. Mary and Tom during children's time.

Spooktacular Team Trivia
The P.E.O. Sisterhood is a philanthropic education organization that helps women financially through scholarships, loans, and grants. For more info visit their webpage https://www.peointernational.org/
They are hosting a team trivia night at Cross Roads UMC on Saturday, October 19th to help raise funds to continue to contribute to the scholarships, loans, and grants that they offer.
Team Trivia Competition - come with your team (up to 6 people) or join one at the event! There will be a gift basket silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and prizes. Themed hors d'oeuvers will be served. Costumes are encouraged!
