Townhomes at Lincoln-King Now For Sale

The Community Development Authority of the City of Racine (CDA) is now accepting offers for the brand-new Townhomes at Lincoln-King, and purchasers will receive a $10,000 cash grant for down payment assistance from the City of Racine for purchasing one of the 33 units.

The City’s vision was to create a destination neighborhood that supports the well-being of our residents by creating new homeownership opportunities, paired with services and amenities to support families, including a community center, affordable healthcare, and a great public school.

The Townhomes represent an almost $20 million investment in the Lincoln-King Neighborhood, bringing new homeownership opportunities to the City of Racine. These beautiful, new construction townhomes are located right next to the new, state-of-the-art Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and Julian Thomas Community School.

The townhomes start at $220,000. Each of the 33 new condo units includes:

  • Open floor plan downstairs with great kitchen and living space.
  • All kitchen appliances included.
  • Three upstairs bedrooms with spacious closets.
  • 2 full baths upstairs and downstairs
  • Upstairs laundry room with washer/dryer included.
  • Two full bathrooms (one on each floor).
  • Attached 2.5-car garage.

The City has lenders available and willing to work with potential homebuyers. First-time homebuyers may also qualify for additional down payment assistance from their lender, which can be stacked with the City’s $10,000.

Clean Sweep October 1st - 2nd

Mayor Cory Mason will lead the City of Racine’s fall Clean Sweep initiative on Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd, with City staff and volunteers working side-by-side to enhance neighborhood infrastructure and outdoor spaces on the City's southside Racine Street corridor.

The two-day effort will address everything from pothole and sidewalk repairs to tree trimming, landscaping, and large-scale debris removal, bringing together multiple City departments and community members to deliver tangible improvements and a renewed sense of pride in the neighborhood.

Our Public Works, Parks, and Forestry crews bring their professional skill and muscle, handling the project’s heavy lifting with precision and pride. They will join staff from all other corners of the City organization - dedicated, community-focused public servants who step away from their desks and other roles to lend a hand with hard work and good humor.

City Offers Financial Assistance for Sump Pump Installation

The City of Racine is offering financial assistance to help eligible homeowners install sump pumps through the City’s Sump Pump Installation Program. The program helps reduce the amount of clear water entering the sanitary sewer system, which can contribute to sewer backups during heavy rain events.

Through the program, the City will pay a homeowner’s contractor up to $5,000 to install a sump pump that redirects foundation drain water away from the sanitary sewer system. Homes may qualify if they currently do not have a sump pump and have foundation drains connected to the sanitary sewer.

Homeowners who are unsure whether their property is eligible can contact the City for assistance in determining eligibility. The program is designed to protect both individual homes and the broader sewer system by reducing excess water entering city infrastructure.

Residents interested in participating can learn more and apply on the city's website.

Thank you for staying connected with us. We look forward to keeping you updated with the latest from City Hall and beyond.
