MLC Wind Symphony Concert - May 14

We are excited to share that MLC will be touring with their Wind Symphony from May 14-19 and will make a stop at SCLA on Sunday, May 14 for an evening concert at 7:00 p.m. The concert is about 1.5 hours long and will be enjoyable for all audiences.

Homestays Needed

In addition to asking you to attend, please consider hosting one or two of the 50-60 ensemble members. We are also asking association congregations to help fill this need. If you can host, please complete this short form. Homestay families are needed to provide transportation from SCLA on Sunday night and back to SCLA on Monday morning; a bedroom (private or shared with a member of the same sex); and a sack lunch for the following day.

Recyling Dumpster

Waste Management, who picks up our recycling dumpster, charges us extra when the recycling dumpster is contaminated with non-recyclables. Their trucks have a cameras for prove. Please review the attached flyer and do not contaminate the dumpsters. Note that plastic bags, bubble wrap, foam peanuts, or food (this causes pizza boxes to be a contaminate) are not allowed in recycling dumpster.

Make sure your are using the correct dumpster as the trash and recycling dumpster are similar. The recycling is often to the northeast of the trash dumpster.

Got pics? Send Kristina or Lisa your classroom or activity shots with a brief explanation, and they'll share them with the rest of the SCLA family! The best shots include engaged students/staff.
