A Letter from the Athletic Director
Saints Nation,
What an exciting time of year! With Graduation (CONGRATS TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS of 2025), regular seasons wrapping up, and playoffs kicking off, the energy across campus is awesome.
This spring has brought its fair share of challenges—unpredictable weather, prom season, transportation delays, a shortage of officials, and overlapping graduation events. Despite it all, we’ve stayed focused and kept moving forward. I want to sincerely thank our student-athletes, coaches, and families for your patience and flexibility in helping us navigate a demanding schedule.
Our teams are performing well, representing St. Thomas with pride, discipline, and determination. I couldn’t be prouder of our coaches and athletes for their commitment and resilience.
As we enter the postseason, let’s continue to support one another and showcase what it means to be part of the Saints community. Your continued support is what helps make this program a model of excellence, on and off the field.
Thank you for being part of this journey and God Bless.
David Morissette

Zach Snow Named New Head Girls Basketball Coach at
St. Thomas Aquinas High School
St. Thomas Aquinas High School is excited to announce Zach Snow as the new Head Coach of the Girls Basketball Program. Snow, currently an English teacher at STA, brings a strong background in coaching, player development, and student mentorship.
Snow takes over for Kevin Giannino, who stepped down after five successful seasons leading the Saints. Snow previously coached both boys’ and girls’ basketball at STA and Exeter High School, and he currently trains athletes through Journeyman Basketball in Portsmouth.
“I couldn’t be more excited to accept the position,” said Snow. “My goal is to ignite a passion surrounding girls’ basketball here at STA. I hope to build a culture that not only holds students accountable but also creates a level of excitement for incoming athletes.”
Snow holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Psychology from Marist College and has completed his M.A. in English Teaching at the University of Southern California. His coaching career is commitment to growth both on and off the court.
“I am excited to announce the hiring of Zach Snow,” said Athletic Director David Morissette. “Zach is young with a ton of energy. We are really looking forward to watching him lead this program for many years to come."

Lhana Richard
"My favorite athletic moment from Saint Thomas is when I personal record in the 200-meter dash and getting to celebrate my teammates because they were more hyper than I was. As well as when the boys 4x4 relay broke the school record while the team was sprinting back and forth on the field to cheer on our runners during the race. Even though track is an individual sport, the support from all my teammates makes the atmosphere so welcoming and special and it will be something I will never forget. "

Anna Seifert
"My favorite moment as an athlete at STA was during my junior year tennis season when I won my first tiebreaker singles match vs. Bishop Brady. I had previously lost against this opponent earlier in the season so I knew this would be a difficult match. I was up quite a few games in the beginning but unfortunately, she was able to come back and tie it 8-8. However, I was able to pull through and win the match after a very intense and stressful tiebreaker. I’m pretty sure I jumped up and down after I hit the last point. This match was one I’ll never forget."

Aidan Morrison
"My favorite athletic moment was less of a moment, more of a series of moments. Before every home football game there would be a spaghetti dinner hosted at someone's house. These were the best moments of every season. It brought everyone together, making us not only a better team, but a family. "

Sam White
"My favorite moment was winning a state swimming relay title with some of my best friends."

Abigail Kosko
"My favorite athletic moment was beating Newport in the 2025 softball season. We knew it would be a tough battle, but at the end of the day the determination and the positivity on our team has made this win possible."
|
Charles Monteiro
"My favorite moment is probably the division championships for track last spring. Our relay team did really well, and I remember everyone on the team being in high spirits and very friendly that day."

Chloe Baker
"At STA, I have been a part of the field hockey, ski, and lacrosse teams, but my favorite athletic moment was joining the field hockey team. I joined as a new player in my sophomore year and quickly realized how special the team is. Joining as a new player is tough, but everyone was so welcoming. Although we never had the greatest record, we still had fun, and the team really felt like a family. However, this year we were able to do something really special. After a lot of hard work throughout the season, we were able to attain a good record and even make it to the first round of playoffs (which the team hasn't been able to achieve in many years). Although the outcome was not what we had hoped for, it felt like a good closing to my favorite sports season because we overcame years of failure to reach the playoffs. Field hockey has taught me many important life skills with the help of Coach Dobecki, and I will forever be grateful to STA and my teammates for making it so special for me.

Girls’ Tennis Team Pink Game Fundraiser
The Girls Tennis Team raised $1,478.00 in their annual pink tennis match vs Profile High School on Tuesday, May 13th. This money will go to “Amy’s Treat”. Amy's Treat is an organization that serves cancer patients in the Seacoast. They provide unexpected "treats" to patients dealing with day-to-day difficulties that come with battling cancer. These treats help patients have some normalcy in their lives, whether it be receiving a gift card to go out to dinner or tickets to a Red Sox game. Amy's Treat's mission is to "be a neighbor rising up in support of a neighbor.” The organization is entirely volunteer-based.
Great job, Coach Cummings and the entire Girls Tennis Team.
