This email arrives approximately halfway between New Year's Day and Memorial Day weekend. Have you achieved your goals for the upcoming season? No worries if you're still working on them. Read on to see all the great workshops and opportunities to work with the CDP's Business and Credit team that will help you achieve those resolutions before the 2025 summer season starts.

Do you need working capital to start or grow your business? The CDP has microloans of up to $50,000 for eligible candidates to be used for working capital, real estate, machinery and equipment, the kinds of things that get fledgling businesses off the ground. Schedule an appointment with Pam Andersen to see if a CDP microloan is right for you.

EforAll Pitch Contests are lively two-hour events that offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business idea to a friendly audience and receive valuable feedback from experienced judges. Not only will you hear innovative business ideas, you will also vote for the "fan favorite" cash prize!

The REACH Project - Homeless Prevention Council

Starts March 24th - Apply Today!

The REACH Project is a goal-setting program for Cape Cod residents who are striving to achieve personal goals. Chart a path to success through individualized coaching and strategic utilization of a $2,000 stipend.

The three-month action-oriented program helps participants set goals, practice mindfulness and chart a path to success through individualized coaching. Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive a $2,000 stipend to help advance them toward their goal. The REACH Project invests in people for long-term stability and prosperity.

Your Rights and Responsibilities as an Employer

Lawyers for Civil Rights (LCR) is providing timely and free legal advice for employers and immigrants facing imminent threats related to immigration enforcement, such as immigration raids or mass deportations.

As an employer, you have certain responsibilities to ensure that your employees are legally authorized to work in the United States. Federal agencies have different ways of enforcing the laws that require legal authorization to work. LCR has created a resource guide outlining the basic rights and responsibilities that you have as an employer.

In addition, LCR's hotline, 617-988-0606, will be staffed with attorneys from LCR’s staff and pro bono network. Callers who leave a message will receive a same-day response to questions about immigration enforcement and reports of immigration raids. You can also reach the hotline via email: hotline@lawyersforcivilrights.org.

LCR also created resource guides for Immigrant Interactions with ICE and Immigrant Families to Plan for Children in Case of Deportation.

The League of Women Voters of Cape Cod and Nauset Interfaith Assembly created this Know Your Rights material - Family Preparedness Tool Kit QR code in multiple languages.
