MMWD News for June 2019
Join Us Tomorrow, June 13, for a Night at the Ballpark!
Join MMWD for a family-friendly night at Albert Park with the San Rafael Pacifics baseball team. We’ll have a fun, free giveaway along with tips for saving water. Plus, John the Running Toilet will be on hand to remind baseball fans to stop running toilets.

A toilet that runs constantly due to a leak can waste hundreds or even thousands of gallons of water a day, so it’s worth taking a few minutes to check your toilets for leaks and repair if needed.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 13. We'll see you at the ballpark!
MMWD Board Approves New Rates
At a public hearing on May 28, 2019, MMWD’s Board of Directors approved changes to water rates effective July 1, 2019. Customers will see an increase of about 4% reflected in water bills starting September 1, 2019. For the average residential customer with a 5/8-inch meter using 12,716 gallons (17 CCFs), the monthly increase is approximately $2.71. A new Capital Maintenance Fee was also implemented and will add $13.63 per month for 5/8-inch meters. The exact increases will vary among customer classes based on water usage and meter size. MMWD Replacing 111-Year-Old Pipe in Mill Valley
MMWD is replacing over a mile of pipeline in Mill Valley on Rosemont Avenue, Greenhill Road and Almonte Boulvard. The new water pipelines will replace leak-prone cast iron pipe installed as early as 1908. Watch our video update for more project details.
