STUDENT GOVERNMENT
A MESSAGE
FROM VICE PRESIDENT ALMAHDI
Happy Wednesday! We've had another successful week here at student government, and we're glad to be able to share it with the Beach community.

We are extremely excited and honored to host Grammy Award winning artist Daniel Caesar at this year's ASI Big Event! The event will take place on March 16 at 7 p.m., and students can still purchase tickets here for just $10. Don't miss out on Caesar's incredible performance!

Next weekend, your student representatives will be attending the California Higher Education Student Summit (CHESS), a two-day conference in Sacramento in which we will stand strong with other CSU representatives as we lobby California legislators to pass bills that will improve campus life at Long Beach State. Some of the bills target issues such as student homelessness, financial aid reform and an increase to the Cal Grant limit for AB540/undocumented students. Tune in to today's senate meeting as we come to a consensus over which bills will be promoted at CHESS.

The deadline for ASI Elections is tomorrow, and we are still looking for the best and brightest students to apply for the wide variety of positions that will be up for a vote in March. Click here to see how you can apply and potentially shape student life at LBSU.

We hope you all have a fantastic rest of your week!
Go Beach!
