STUDENT GOVERNMENT
A MESSAGE
FROM PRESIDENT JARA
Hello, Long Beach State! As spring break quickly approaches, now is the perfect time to reflect on this semester's achievements and look to the future with high hopes and aspirations.

We've accomplished many things as a student body this semester, most of which are ongoing. A great example of this is our comprehensive mascot search process, which is entering its third stage as we finalize the official ballot for students and members of the Beach community. The next step is a community polling period in April followed by a student vote from May 6 to 8. These results will be presented to CSULB President Jane Conoley who will make a final decision based on the consensus of students and community members. Review the complete timeline here for more information. We are excited to see the results of this process and solidify a mascot for years to come!

Thank you all for engaging in our community by participating in this process; we hope to see more even more student involvement throughout the semester!

Have a great spring break!
Go Beach!
