INSIDE
STUDENT GOVERNMENT
A MESSAGE
FROM PRESIDENT JARA
Hello, Long Beach State! With the days getting shorter and our fall break right around the corner, now is a great time to look back on our accomplishments as a campus community thus far.

One of the most prevalent successes this semester is the phenomenal voter registration efforts of our Lobby Corps . Thanks to your support, ASI was able to register many students and mail ballots from all across campus. With your help, we are increasing the political voice of all students at Long Beach State.

Students with an appetite for positive change can continue to express their voices through Imagine Beach 2030 , a crowd-sourced discussion on the future of our university. To get involved in the online discussion, click here and voice your opinion today and tomorrow. We students have the power to shape this institution for years to come, and I hope you will join me in this very special process!
On a more personal note, I have closely been watching coverage of the California wildfires over the past week, as I am sure many of you have been, and I am heartbroken over the overwhelming loss of lives and livelihoods across our state. I know that we have many Long Beach State students impacted by these fires, either directly or through friends and loved ones, and I want you to know that me and my team are thinking of you. To reiterate our message from last week, if you are in need of personal assistance during these troubling times, please contact our amazing team at CSULB's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at (562) 985-4001. In difficult times such as these it is important that we check in with one another, lean on the people we trust and remember that we are One Beach.
In Solidarity,
Genesis
