A MESSAGE
FROM VICE PRESIDENT ALMAHDI
Hey, everyone! Coming off of Wellness Week, I hope everyone has been finding it easier to manage a healthy balance between work, school, personal relationships and all other aspects of our lives that keep us busy. Even if you missed out on our recent wellness events, there is no better time to work on self-care than right now!

Since the last newsletter, we've been working hard to ensure the voices of all members of our community are heard and respected. President Velasquez, Chief Diversity Officer Alderete and I met with two members of the American Indian Studies Department to discuss 22 acres and the issue of moving land. A full recap of the meeting can be found in our most recent senate livestream, beginning at the 42-minute mark.

I'm excited to say that the Students of Color Conference will take place this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the USU Ballrooms. If you haven't already registered, click here to RSVP - this is an event you don't want to miss! Rise & Resist is all about giving YOU the tools to build coalitions of solidarity and rise against a variety of social issues.
