The improved program will aim to create a streamlined and equitable application process for businesses and enhance the enjoyment of patio spaces for community members in Squamish. The program builds on the Temporary Patio Program created at the onset of the pandemic to support food service businesses by creating a quick and safe outdoor extension of their restaurant or café.

RECYCLING TIP OF THE WEEK
Throughout February, we will feature a different area of your home to see what can be recycled. Next stop - the kitchen! There are a lot of recyclables here, including cartons (for things like ice cream, or soup stock), spiral wound cans (for frozen juice), plastic clam shells (for baked goods or produce) and all the boxboard. These can all be put in the curbside recycling once they are empty and clean!
Glass jars (for things like pasta sauce), flexible packaging (like granola bar wrappers) and soft plastics (like shopping bags) can all be recycled as well, but must be taken to a recycling depot.

Make recycling a breeze by checking What Goes Where at squamish.ca/waste-wizard or download our Curbside Collection app available for Android and iPhone.
