Professional Advisor Network Event Recap

On Thursday, April 26, our   Professional Advisor Network  gathered together to discuss  Charitable Aspects of the New Tax Act . Donald J. Greene,  Philanthropic Client Relationship Executive for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, was the event speaker. 

The event was co-sponsored by Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester County, Community Foundation of North Central MA, and Montachusett Estate and Retirement Planning Council.
Outreach & Education Site Visits for May

Our Outreach & Education Visitors Program offers an outstanding way for Foundation volunteers, fund holders and corporators to experience the strong impact our grantmaking has on the community. Visits are scheduled to various GWCF grantees across Worcester County throughout the spring, summer and fall. Volunteers are invited to come hear from top agency leaders and see where programs are delivered. The best visits end with participants informed and inspired.  

The following site visits are scheduled for May and early June.

Creative Community Engagement Grant
The Creative Community Engagement Grant Program  will support organizations who actively seek to develop deeper engagement with our changing and diverse community in alignment with their strategic visions and our values. Online applications are due by May 18, 2018.

Worcester County Food Bank Fund to End Hunger
The Worcester County Food Bank Fund to End Hunger seeks to fund innovative and sustainable solutions to the problem of hunger through advocacy and programs that incorporate practices that have shown promise throughout the country or here in Worcester County. Online applications are due by May 18, 2018.
Nonprofit Support Center Workshops in May

The next NSC workshop, entitled  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Moving Ahead will be held on Wednesday, May 9.   Presenters will be Linda Cavaioli, Executive Director YWCA Central Massachusetts, & Valerie Zolezzi-Wyndham, Promoting Good, LLC. Prior attendance by at least one person from your organization at  Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Getting Started  is required. 
 
The final workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 23 entitled Understanding the New FASB Requirements for Nonprofits. Presenter will be  Amanda Pelcher, CPA.
