This Month's News & Updates
When working with fund holders, grantees, and organizations across sectors, the Foundation aims for relevance and hits the mark.
Foundation donors experience innovation and collaboration at Printer's Building

The creativity and community-mindedness that has come to characterize Worcester was on full display for guests of our recent Fall Insights for Donors event.

In a memorable evening of tours and networking, attendees visited 7 nonprofits housed in the Printer's Building, a space owned by Davis Publications that is currently under extensive renovations to preserve its history and meet the growing needs of community innovators.

In an atmosphere of excitement and possibility, these organizations demonstrated the ways they are doing their part to enhance our community through arts, education, technology, and service.

Seeking input from individuals who live or work in Worcester

GWCF and the Worcester Cultural Coalition are seeking public input for development of the City of Worcester’s Arts & Culture Plan.

We want to know how residents and people who work in the city of Worcester think arts, culture, creativity and heritage are impacting their lives and the community.
Nonprofit Support Center Fall workshops span the spectrum

This Fall's NSC lineup, which features timely and important workshop topics, is already underway.

In support of the creative sector, coming in November will be our first Nonprofit Support Center for Creatives (NSCfc) workshop. At Navigating the New Normal, attendees will explore how arts and culture organizations are addressing diversity, equity and cross-cultural understanding, and the challenges of social justice and communal empowerment.

Learn more about this workshop, view the full Fall workshop calendar, and explore other NSC resources here.

Looking back on our O&E season

Between March and September Outreach & Education Site Visitors met with 30 grantee organizations to see first-hand the work of our grantees.

"O&E visits are one of the best ways to fulfill my role as a Foundation Board member," says Matt Wally. "The community benefits from so many thriving nonprofits. These visits provide me with the opportunity to witness how well our funds are being used."

If you missed the chance to participate in O&E's this year, don't worry. This annual program kicks off next March, so keep an eye on your email!
At our visit to Community Harvest Project , we observed volunteers hard at work, tending fresh produce that will feed hungry families across Worcester County. Through partnerships and education initiatives, this impressive operation is making a real impact. Foundation support is helping to make it possible.
