The GWCF Scholarship Application is Open
Spread the word to high school seniors!
This opportunity for college tuition assistance only comes once a year. Worcester County high school seniors are encouraged to apply now for scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The application is online, and with one submission, students will be considered for all of the Foundation's 136 scholarships for which they are eligible.

Since 1978, we've distributed over $11.2 million dollars in scholarships. With another season underway, we're excited about helping more young people afford college.

Save the Date for Winter Supper!
A special event for donors and friends to learn, connect, and enjoy!

Tuesday, March 7, 5:00pm
Clark University, Tilton Hall
950 Main Street, Worcester, MA

We'll be celebrating last year’s 11 Creative Spark grantees. The grants, funded in partnership with the Barr Foundation, were intended to “spark” unique and innovative arts and culture programs. Together we’ll experience some of these “sparks” for ourselves, and hear how each of them is elevating and inspiring our community.

Fueling their efforts to catalyze an inclusive creative sector in Worcester can be made possible by people like you!

Where does philanthropy fit into your New Year's Resolutions?

Future commitments - planned giving - are a vital asset for the community. They guarantee the Foundation has the resources to address challenges that will surface down the road. That's where the Foundation's Acorn Society comes in, honoring those donors who have provided for the Foundation through their wills.

We offer a number of planned giving options through the Foundation that will align with your charitable goals. It's easier than you think to get started!
Celebrating the 2018
YCI Fund Recipients
Over $25,000 in grants awarded!
The young people of Youth for Community Improvement (YCI) recently hosted a grantee reception to recognize the 11 programs awarded with this year's YCI Fund grants. Over 40 people attended the event, including many young people leading the programs chosen for funding.

YCI, like other youth philanthropy programs that exist across the country, is built on the idea that young people can and should be decision-makers when it comes to funding needs in their communities.

We're proud of the YCI class of 2018 and their granting choices!
