Register Your Business to Participate in the 6th Annual Job Fair

The Tidewater News, along with local and regional partners, will hold its 6th Annual Job Fair on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Paul D. Camp Community College Workforce Development Center in Franklin. Isle of Wight County Economic Development is proud to continue its sponsorship of this important event in our community.
If your business is hiring and you would like to be a vendor at the Job Fair, contact The Tidewater News, 757-304-8265, email Michelle Gray or complete the registration form at the link below. The cost is $250 with an additional fee for electricity. The Registration deadline is December 31, 2021.
Participating employers will have an opportunity to attend an information session to learn about workforce resources available in the 757. Representatives from Camp Community College, Virginia Career Works and the Virginia Employment Commission will discuss how their respective workforce programs can benefit businesses and prospective and current employees. Registration also includes refreshments for company representatives and a quarter-page ad in the “Get a Job” special Tidewater News supplement published a week prior to the event.

Chili Hill Foods & Farm (302 Main Street, Smithfield) - a small food market focusing on the family’s passion for Thai and local foods. The market offers Asian groceries with a Thai centric theme, fresh produce, VA grown products, and homemade prepared foods. You can also visit them at the Smithfield Farmers Market.
Eclipse Pets (1402 S. Church Street, Unit A, Smithfield) - a pet store selling reptiles, birds, hamsters and beta fish along with foods, treats and supplies for all your finned, furry, feathered and scaly pets.

New Mural in Windsor Preserves Town History
The Woman's Club of Windsor recently dedicated a freshly painted mural on one of the town's oldest buildings. The club commissioned muralist Sam Welty to complete the project, which began in November. The new mural restored faded logos of businesses that once occupied the early 1900's building. MORE
