ISLE OF WIGHT CELEBRATES BUSINESS APPRECIATION MONTH
 
In conjunction with the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors has designated the month of May as Business Appreciation Month.

From home-based establishments to major employers, Isle of Wight County is pleased to recognize the accomplishments of our existing businesses that contribute greatly to the economy and culture of our community.

POP-UP PARTIES PLANNED!

We know the last couple of years have been challenging and you continue to do the best with your business. Together, the Isle of Wight Economic Development Department and the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce want to show our gratitude and bring our annual Business Appreciation event to a location near you! Local leadership and officials will be there to greet you with tokens of appreciation, refreshments, and a chance to win $500!* Take a few minutes to come to the Pop-Up Party location closest to you to pick up your swag bag, some tasty snacks, and an entry card for the grand prize drawing! If you have more time, we would love to get your photo in our "pop-up" photo booth!

*Grand Prize Entry – Each of the Business Appreciation Pop-Up Party locations will feature a $500 Grand Prize. In order to be eligible for entry, businesses must be located in Isle of Wight County, the Town of Smithfield or the Town of Windsor. Businesses MUST attend a Pop-Up Party to be eligible to enter and may only enter the drawing at one Pop-Up Party location.

Integrity Care, a primary care clinic, is opening in Windsor Plaza, 70 E. Windsor Blvd., Suite G in Windsor.

My Pumpkin Patch Preschool LLC, a childcare provider, is coming soon to 76 E. Windsor Blvd. in Windsor.

The 2022 Lunch & Learn Series is hosted by the Peninsula Home-Based Business Network and held the second Wednesday of each month through September from Noon to 1:00 p.m. These FREE sessions will feature virtual networking, a keynote speaker and Q&A.

Startwheel Connects Entrepreneurs to Resources

Startwheel is a non-profit organization focused on growing, guiding and connecting entrepreneurs to build a stronger and more innovative regional economy. The organization offers a variety of resources to businesses, produces podcasts and promotes regional business education workshops and events. Windsor Farmer's Market Season Starts This Month!

The Windsor Farmer's Market started its third season on Friday, May 6th. The market will be open in the parking lot of Old Point National Bank every Friday 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. through the end of September. The market will include local produce, meats and handmade goods.
