| | AcupunctureME Owner Among Book Authority's 7 Best-Selling Acupuncture Books | | |
Michael Migliore, owner of AcupunctureME, has earned a distinguished placing on the well-respected site Book Authority. His clinical manual, Acupuncture Logic, is featured at #6 among its “7 Best-Selling Acupuncture Books Millions Love”.
When speaking of “best-selling” in this context, it reflects not only sales volume but also sustained recognition within the acupuncture and integrative-health community. Book Authority highlights works that are widely embraced by practitioners and readers alike—and placing on this list affirms the relevance and accessibility of Michael’s work.
Originally published in the early 2000s and currently in circulation in various formats, Acupuncture Logic presents a streamlined, algorithm-based framework for acupuncture practitioners. Because of its clear structure and practical orientation, this book is regarded as a helpful clinical tool for both students of acupuncture and experienced practitioners who appreciate a “logical” (as the title suggests) system for selecting points and reasoning through treatment protocols.
Michael has long been committed to advancing acupuncture’s clinical efficacy, and this ranking on Book Authority adds another layer to our appreciation of his work. We look forward to seeing how this recognition furthers the reach of his ideas and ultimately supports better patient outcomes within our community and region.

| | Camp Out Hunger Returns November 3rd – 7th | |
The 7th Annual Camp Out Hunger is BACK at the Sam’s Club parking lot from November 3–7! Help fill a tractor-trailer truck with nonperishable food to support the Salvation Army.
This incredible community effort helps stock their food pantry for most of the year—ensuring that everything collected stays local to help our neighbors in need.
Last year’s event raised 38,000 pounds of food and nearly $10,000 in cash donations, which were used to supplement pantry supplies. With community needs nearly tripling in the past five years, organizers hope to collect 45,000 pounds of food this year. Every can, box, and dollar makes a difference!
| | CMP Proposes Major Investments in Maine's Energy Future | | |
Central Maine Power has filed a new proposal with the Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) with key initiatives focused on strengthening the state’s electric grid and expanding the company’s local workforce.
The “Investing in Maine’s Future Plan” outlines a five-year proposal to improve electric service reliability, support economic growth, and prepare Maine’s infrastructure for the challenges of extreme weather and modern energy demands.
CMP’s structured, five-year investment plan includes:
- Hiring 400 new full-time employees, including 200 lineworkers.
- Upgrading aging infrastructure with stronger poles and covered wire that is more resistant to tree contact.
- Building modern substations and expanding tree care programs.
- Creating price stability by reducing CMP’s reliance on expensive external contractors during storms.
These workforce and grid strengthening investments address:
- Outage reduction. CMP is proposing to install 2,500 new smart devices that can reduce the scale and duration of outages remotely in minutes.
- Capacity for future economic growth. Ordering and installing power transformers that can carry more energy can allow newer grid uses and expanded power capacity for Maine homes and businesses.
- Falling trees as the #1 cause of CMP outages. Expanded tree care programs and tree wire installation can mitigate more outages caused by falling trees and tree limbs, the leading cause of outages at CMP.
CMP’s proposal is now under review by the MPUC. This public and transparent process ensures that all aspects of the plan are carefully evaluated. If approved, implementation could begin as early as mid-2026.
CMP’s “Investing in Maine’s Future Plan” is more than an infrastructure upgrade, it’s a continuation of our commitment to Maine’s communities, businesses, economy, and energy future. By modernizing the grid and expanding its workforce, CMP aims to ensure that Maine is ready for the decades to come.
If you have questions about this initiative, please reach out at Community@cmpco.com.
