SPIRITT Family Services proudly celebrates Black History Month in February! This annual celebration recognizes the excellence and resilience of the black community, highlighting its rich heritage.
From activists, inventors, visionaries, and more, black individuals have made countless contributions throughout history, paving the way for future generations to come.
As an organization dedicated to empowering children and families, we offer a wide range of services and resources to support and uplift all communities. SPIRITT recently partnered with Pasadena/Altadena Coalition of Transformative Leaders, (PACTL) who currently offers a Black Parenting class specifically designed for Black and African American parents with an open DCFS case. This program aims to promote family pride and cohesion to help families cope with the negative effects of racism. For more information or to enroll, please call 626-765-9150 or visit www.pactl.org.
By creating more platforms for black voices, advocating for social justice, and supporting black businesses, we can create a stronger network of support, resources, and opportunities for black communities to thrive. Let us remember to celebrate black culture and diversity not only this month, but every day.
