Let’s be honest, the rest of the news pales in comparison to all of the conversation about the impending weather storm. There have already been briefings by agencies from across the state preparing for the impact – including the PA Emergency Management Agency, the PA State Police and the PA Department of Transportation.

While specific snow totals and timing are still in flux, temperatures are expected to be in single digits this weekend and the system is expected to produce heavy snow. There are also concerns that the amount of snow and ice could cut power and disrupt travel.

Ahead of the storm, the House has canceled voting session days scheduled for Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27. The House will convene on Wednesday, January 28 for its voting session at 12 PM.

Stay tuned – and make sure you’ve got your milk, bread, and toilet paper!
