Economic Outlook & 2021 Pre-Budget Survey Results
It has been a difficult year for businesses, according to the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce’s annual Economic Outlook Survey.

Government support to keep the doors open during the pandemic has been appreciated, however 50% of respondents believe the provincial government did not create a more competitive and attractive environment for businesses over the past year while 73% believe the same of the federal government.

Moving past the pandemic in this environment will be challenging for our private sector.

As indicated in the 2021 Pre-Budget Survey, businesses are hoping for government action that will encourage sustainable growth and create a competitive environment by reducing the tax burden businesses face.
