Mandy Kao Among 2022 Women of Distinction

We are proud to celebrate Governing Board member, Mandy Kao, and the 2022 Women of Distinction who inspire and create meaningful and positive change for our community. As part of their 35th Anniversary Winter Ball, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation continues their tradition this year of recognizing ten women of distinction making a difference in our community.

Mandy Kao believes a Woman of Distinction carries a responsibility to be a role model of service, compassion, and engagement while working toward a society that is more equitable for all. She also believes that to be a leader she must be of service and her life path is servant leadership. Her purpose is to make a positive difference and be a leader for women everywhere.

Betty White Challenge – Helping Local Rescue & Animal Shelters
We were saddened to hear of the passing of beloved actress Betty White. In honor of her memory, fans have come up with a unique way to pay homage to the late actress. On January 17, fans are encouraged to participate in the #BettyWhiteChallenge by making a donation to local rescue and animal shelters. We know there are many incredible nonprofit organizations in the Greater Houston region doing impactful work in this area. You’ll find a few of them listed below!
