Vice Chancellor

for Research

As you may have heard, I accepted a new appointment as the provost and executive vice president of academic affairs at the University of South Florida. My last day at UC Davis will be February 28. Chancellor May has announced the appointment of Jefferey Gibeling as the interim vice chancellor for research (more on that below) while a nationwide search is conducted.

Serving as vice chancellor for research at UC Davis has been the highlight of my career so far. I was fortunate in this role to not only have broad exposure to the tremendous global impact of the research and innovation from our university, but to also witness all of the hard work, sacrifice and passion that yielded it. There really is something very special about the UC Davis research community. Thank you for this amazing experience.
