NAWBO CA Education Fund and NAWBO-SFBA is pleased to announce the establishment of the May Pon Educational Scholarship Fund, which will help to support women business owners within California.
This fund was generously established by May Pon’s family after her unfortunate passing in 2019 from cancer. They wanted to honor and recognize the decades of dedication May Pon had to NAWBO, her leadership, and unwavering support of women business owners. The NAWBO-SFBA chapter in particular would like to thank May’s family very much for their kind generosity.
As a result of this fund, we are happy to announce the NAWBO CA Education May Pon Scholarship Fund will grant several $2,500 scholarships to NAWBO members who are looking to grow their business and seek education or training to expand their knowledge or credentials.
This scholarship will reimburse women business owners for qualified expenses, including any Executive MDE (Management Development for Entrepreneurs), MBA program, Continuing Professional Education program, Propel program, adding a certificate/license, or scaling her business. Preference for Accounting. This scholarship is open to all, and women of color and/or of disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
To qualify, applicants must: 1) be a NAWBO-CA member, 2) be a woman business owner, 3) be in business at least 3-10 years.
Deadline for the 2022 $2,500 scholarship is December 31, 2022.
