What’s the Cost Difference?
Overall, there is no cost difference for homeowners on an annual basis. Homeowner’s will save approximately $12 annually and be provided a simpler way to make payments.
How will this be billed for the remainder of 2023?
If the vote passes, effective July 1st, homeowners will no longer be billed $28.50 on their monthly water bill. This was due to increase to $46.50 in January. We realize this change in timing presents a burden on homeowners. Unfortunately, due to the increase in Fire/EMS service by the City of Wylie and the Utility District decision on billing, the Association must revise the 2023 budget and consider increasing the July billing of semi-annual dues. We appreciate your patience and support as we work together toward this challenge.
How will this be billed going forward next year?
Effective January 2024, the annual assessments would be adjusted to include the previous Utility District billing less the fee. Dues will continue to be billed semi-annually and homeowners may elect to set up their account to pay monthly if desired.
Is there anything being done to reduce the costs of Fire/EMS services?
Yes, the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee have created a sub-committee to address these costs with the City of Wylie prior to their 2024 budget. We will keep you informed as to the progress.
We hope these changes will allow us to streamline operations for the future. We appreciate your understanding as the Board of Directors works to better improve the billing process and provide efficiencies for our homeowners. If you should have any questions, please reach out to the Association Team at
Sincerely,
The Inspiration Board of Directors
