Central stairway key to tech company redesign

Built by Consigli Construction and designed by Gensler, this software company’s expansion featured a three-story central staircase finished in rift white oak veneer. The Mark Richey Woodworking team clad the staircase in veneer and coordinated integration of all of those gorgeous bronze rods.

The Mark Richey team also built unique seating and planters out of Corian solid surface and rift white oak veneer. Other work, some not shown, included conference room and corridor seating, a collaborative table, casework and rustic white oak veneer paneling throughout.

New York remodel features WallGoldfinger furniture

A recent WallGoldfinger Furniture custom project featured all of the furniture shown in the image above, including a 26-foot calacatta borghini and leather boardroom table, a 12-foot credenza with the same marble and gloss urethane cabinetry, and fabric and black powder coated metal benches. The dining table at right, shown in a stunning open space, is walnut with blackened steel asymmetrical bases.

The project for a New York corporate client was designed by Gensler.

Realizing the American dream

Teresa Richey came to the United States from Peru at age 22. One of the first people she met was her now husband, Mark Richey, a woodworker just starting out in business. Together, with the help of a great administrative and production team, they grew Mark Richey Woodworking into a thriving minority and woman owned and certified business. In the video above, Teresa shares a little of her experience from growing up in Peru to being a woman of color in the U.S. to realizing the American dream.

(Teresa is pictured above with Long Ocean Nguyen, a 31-year employee and advanced woodworker.)
