My experience serving on the Prayer Team
“Wendy Ward here. Recovering control freak – once a very tired expert in fitting square pegs in round holes! When it was suggested to me that I join the prayer team, I thought my contribution would be organizing the prayers so we could ensure each one was lifted to God in the hour. After all, I had no idea how to pray. Over time, though, I realized that prayer was an exercise in living the “long game.” And there is no better way to experience the “long game” than in prayer. Why? It is active. It frames your perspective. It reinforces patience. It’s loving. It’s Holy. It is a front-row seat to God's Good works.
