InspireNOLA Charter School is honored to educate and support the students, parents, alumni of McMain High School and 42!
|
|
NEW ORLEANS - InspireNOLA is excited about the recent growth of their network, with the addition of Eleanor McMain Secondary School, located in Uptown, and McDonogh 42, located in the Seventh Ward. Both schools will open under the InspireNOLA network this August.
InspireNOLA was chosen as the new operator in decision with the Recovery School District and the Orleans Parish School Board, as well as with a great deal of community input and support.
For McDonogh 42, InspireNOLA will serve as the third operator since the storm and fourth overall. It will work to replicate the same best practices that have made Alice Harte so successful, and ensure students are learning and growing at a high level. After the experience of transforming Andrew Wilson, InspireNOLA is confident it has developed an academic model that will improve school achievement, and expand wraparound services for students.
InspireNOLA is also humbled to become the new operator of Eleanor McMain, a school with a deep history and tradition in the city. InspireNOLA will be partnering with active alumni and local residents to help promote the transition, and continue the longstanding pursuit of excellence in and out of the classroom at McMain.
InspireNOLA also operates Alice Harte Elementary School, Edna Karr High School, and Andrew Wilson Charter School. Alice Harte and Edna Karr have received "A" letter grades the past three years, and Andrew Wilson achieved the highest academic gains of any school in New Orleans this past year, improving its school performance score by nearly 30 points.
InspireNOLA will organize parent meetings, student meetings and alumni meetings to engage as many stakeholders as possible into the transformation process of both schools.
